My love for photography started many years ago as a teenager when I received my first camera, a Polaroid One Step Instant Camera, for Christmas. I then went to film cameras where I learned to develop my own photos. Today it is all digital with many exciting opportunities and fascinating techniques. With my love for the outdoors and travel, landscape photography is a passion of mine.

Currently photography is not my day job so I spend as much time on weekends and vacations outside with my camera. I currently live in Illinois and love traveling from here to Colorado taking photos of beautiful landscapes along the way.

I enjoy taking my camera into the woods on long hikes early in the morning when the woods are quit and peaceful. A great time to take photos of wildlife, trees and plants and one of my favorite waterfalls from around the area.

One of my most memorable photos was taken on a January morning in Illinois when it was about 7 degrees outside. The subjects were adult and juvenile bald eagles. When I saw the results on the back of the camera it sure didn’t feel like 7 degrees outside any longer. I enjoy capturing awesome places so that when people see the photos, they say “I want to go there”.
